Built Ins? Nope

With the floors in the studio we now needed things that go on top of floors. We did not want to do built ins as we did in the last art room. We wanted to be able to make this room move in ready for the next person (should we decide to sell in Nashville's market). With my husband's handy way of being able to custom fabricate things and our trusty Lowes4Pros people getting us the material we needed, we came up with the 15 foot counter/display with storage underneath.

Power tools were involved, with the counter top, the bracings, and the wide shelves. The narrow shelves are actually plain jane cubes, or cube storage. We bought these locally because we did not want to wait for delivery. (I only have so many days off I am able to help with the house right now.) We considered several different configurations, and you can see one here: https://amzn.to/30LfZvh

When it was all put together we stained it with the same Minwax Ebony fast setting stain we used in the kitchen. I really like the look of it. We decided to leave the cubes white for contrast. And I may get back around to staining the long shelves under the counter top one day.

Fun Fact: There is a 6 in 1 power strip hung under the center section. It is handy for anything we want to plug in there, stereo, Echo Dot, whatever. My husband's idea, naturally.

There is, of course, more to come. This is not over by a long shot.

Be well, y'all.
